Westminster Mind provides a great choice of vital and much valued services to support people with their recovery from mental health issues. These include counselling, a treatment programme for people with agoraphobia, a befriending scheme called Flexicare, support to get in to voluntary work(Support 4 Volunteering ), a workscheme called Portugal Prints to learn computing, art and design, sessional work and training activities, supported housing services, and the Direct Access and Peer Support Service which offers a mixed menu of aspects of direct access provision with structured activities and ongoing training, operating onsite and offsite with local partners.
Most services are funded by Westminster City Council and NHS Westminster. However, people can also purchase services themselves through Individual Budgets or the Direct Payments scheme.
Involving the people who use our services, and giving them a voice, has always been at the heart of what we do, as has working with other organisations, communities and groups within the City of Westminster, in order to play our part in meeting the needs of local people and challenging stigma and discrimination in all its forms.
