Staff Consultation Group
The Staff Consultation Group is the recognised forum for information exchange and consultation with staff to assist Westminster Mind in its business.
The information and consultation include:
(a) Recent and possible developments of the charity’s activities and the economic and financial situation.
(b) The staff structure and possible employment developments, or anticipated measures where there might be a threat to employment.
(c) Decisions likely to lead to any substantial change in the charity’s work, organisation or contractual relations. This includes any changes to pay and terms and conditions of employment.
(d) Compliance with health, safety and welfare legislation and requirements.
(e) Securing the greatest measure of equality of opportunity and equity of treatment for staff.
(f) Training and further education.
(g) Service user involvement.
Staff representatives are elected to represent the sites where staff work and the Group normally meets 6 times a year. The Group also sends a representative to the Executive Committee meetings which deals with governance issues.
All staff can access minutes of meetings, and access documents on which staff are being consulted, through the internal computer network. The folder also gives an up to date list of Group members.
Policies and Procedures
Staff can access all the current policies and procedures used by Westminster Mind on the internal computer network. This includes policies of health and safety and current pay scales.
